Day 58: 6/6/16 (Virtual AT 2020 Day 65)

We are back on the trail, fully resupplied,  and well rested. We had to first walk down to the outfitter at 10am when they opened, but we were able to be on the trail by 11am.

It felt good to be back. The new boots are comfortable, and the inserts seem to be helping. I did the first part of the hike with them in, then I removed them for a bit, and my feet started getting tired, so I put them back in and they felt better, so they’re doing something.

There were no major climbs or descents today, and really no memorable views. We did have our dinner at a parking area along the Blue Ridge Parkway, so we did have a nice view for that. We’re sleeping in the Bobbletts Gap Shelter tonight, which means we covered about 18.5 miles today. We’re hoping to get some longer days in this next week. We’d like to be in Shenandoah park by early next week.
