Today was a zero day, so this’ll be short. We drove to Albany for a planned doctors appointment early in the morning. It was interesting as we drove up on I-87 I made note of when we passed under the Appalachian Trail as we’d be walking that overpass in about a week. After the appointment, we went to get all you can eat sushi, and certainly got our money’s worth.
We drove back down to PA in the afternoon, making just a few stops along the way, including a final stop at Wegmans in Allentown to do a little resupply shopping.
We were treated to a wonderful home cooked meal when we got back to Bear Bell’s grandmother’s place. We all sat around the table and enjoyed the company and the food. It felt good to have a big home cooked meal. It was a full day, but it went by quickly. We’ll be back on the trail by tomorrow afternoon. Luckily we get to sleep in for a bit and get a nice breakfast before we head out.
